Whiting – Dark Barred Ginger, Rooster Capes and Saddles
Dark Barred Ginger is a popular color, characterized by light to medium ginger feathers barred with dark ginger, reddish-brown, or even Coachman brown. There’s considerable variation in the barring, with either light or dark shades being prominent. Some feathers display a fading light-to-dark color cycle throughout. This color strongly resembles cree and can be used as a substitute by blending with grizzly hackle, like the brown and grizzly mix in an Adams fly.
