Dun Grizzly is not a single color, but rather a spectrum. The base color can vary significantly, from an off-white to a deep, medium grey dun. Similarly, the barring can range from a light tan dun all the way to the darkest duns. Most commonly, you’ll find a light grey dun base with medium to dark grey dun barring. This wide range of shades makes it ideal for adding a natural, “buggy” look to flies that traditionally require “dun” materials.
