Leisenring /Keene Tying Wax
$12.00
This is the exact formula that Jim Leisenring used to dress his flies and premade spun bodies ( dubbing loops) found in the book The Art of Tying The Wet Fly and Fishing the Flymph first published in 1941. Leisenring is known as the American Skues and father of nymph fishing in the USA.
This formula was from Fly Fishing And Fly Making For Trout by author J. H. Keene published in 1887.
This wax has fantastic adhesive quality and is the same type of wax that was used by tyers who tied classic salmon flies and trout flies in hand. Flies made with this wax will be very durable.
This comes with 3 hazelnut sized balls.
